ER308L - TIG Stainless Steel Rod - 36" x 3/32" (2 Lb)

This high-quality TIG welding rod is specifically designed for welding 19% chromium – 9% nickel austenitic stainless steels, including 304L, 308L, and stabilized grades 321 and 347.

With a maximum carbon content of less than 0.03%, this rod preserves the intergranular corrosion-resistant properties of the weld deposit and weld zone, ensuring x-ray quality welds.

Ideal for stainless steel fabrication in the dairy, food, or restaurant industry, as well as chemical tanks and general purpose applications where corrosion conditions are only a moderate concern.

Suitable for cryogenic applications, this rod is recommended to be welded with DCEN (DC-) using 2% Thoriated, 2% Ceriated, or 2% Lanthanated Tungsten and 100% Argon or Argon/Helium shielding gas.

Available in various diameters, including 0.030", 0.035", 0.045", 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", and 3/16".
