Monolith by Monoprice Liquid Gold Balanced Headphone Amplifier and DAC by Alex Cavalli

The Monolith™ Liquid Gold X Headphone Amplifier and DAC by Alex Cavalli is a miniaturized version of the original and popular Cavalli Audio® Liquid Gold Amplifier that uses ±18V rails to achieve high power in a small package.

The Liquid Gold is a fully differential, balanced, current feedback, solid state amplifier and has a built‑in, fully balanced DAC based on the AKM® AK4493EQ DAC chipset.

The amplifier is microprocessor controlled using precision A‑to‑D and D‑to‑A conversions to manage and monitor the runtime behavior of all critical aspects of the circuitry. It features a balanced 4‑pin XLR output and an unbalanced 1/4" TRS output.

The TRS output is provided for compatibility with TRS terminated headphones, but it is recommended to use the amp in fully balanced mode using balanced headphones.
