Franklin shares many good times with his grandmother, and when she is taken ill he is determined to help her.

He hears the story from his Aunt Lucy of a talisman that may help to cure his Granny' s illness.

However, the talisman is said to be in Turtle Lake, and it is a long and difficult journey to get there.

Franklin will need help from his friends and his aunt - and must also contend with her headstrong goddaughter Samantha.
