I am sure glad I purchased the lantern because we had some bad winds & the power went out. I always have batteries on hand and not propane. I can set the lantern on the table in the house where I can't use the gas lamp.

Uses batteries but better than being in the dark. Can read by this light so time seems to go by faster when we have one of our numerious power outages. Well made, all plastic. Buy lots of batteries
