I don't understand the negative reviews on this edger. Mine always starts on the first or 2nd pull, and I have had no mechanical issues with it at all. In 3 years of use, and 4 or 5 blades later, it still runs like new.

I PURCHASED MY PE550 IN 12/06 AND HAVE USED IT WEEKLY EVERY SINCE. STARTS ON 3RD. PULL. LIGHT WEIGHT. THE STARTER SPRING HAS BROKEN AND THE REPAIR SHOP SAYS 2-3 WEEKS FOR REPAIR SO I AM GOING TO BUY ANOTHER PE550 SO I WILL HAVE A SPARE ONE IF IT NEEDS REPAIR AFTER 2 1/2 YRS. OF SERVICE.
