We've had the gate for 1 week now and it keeps our 3 Cavalier spaniels where they need to be. The wire grate is much sturdier than the plastic ones. If you have a dog that chews, this is a better gate.

I purchased the gate to keep a 10wk old puppy from getting into my hallway and front room. She is now 17wks old and the gate has worked perfectly. It's easy to install and has stayed in place and is tall enough to keep her from jumping over it. It has kept her from getting into too much mischief
