I have found this Oxi based formula to be the best spot remover for rugs, and I use in conjunction with an Electrolux brush type rug cleaning machine. We have a 25 yr old, off white living room carpet. It still handles cleaning and looks fine. High quality carpet.

this is amazing cleaner...in addition to frequent pet dirt and stains, I used it (after 25 years of trying to clean tile grout stained by minerals in our water) I sprayed this carpet cleaner on the tile grout and let it sit for several days and the discoloration is gone!!
