The litter box doesn't lock! If you attempt to pick it up, you're in for a not so sweet surprise. I had a similar type with the side locks and when I bought this one, the ad stated, snap-on lid. Yes, it's a sort of snap on lid, but, if your cat gets on a litter sweep, you're in for a cleaning....

Top Cover wouldn't even snap. The cover did not snap, because it was made poorly. The plastic did not extend enough over the hinges to stay under and stay snapped. Recycled it the next day.

It works fine except the hood doesn't snap lock onto the litter pan tight enough. Thankfully, my little girl is a lady and doesn't knock the hood off when she scratches.

I really like this cat box all except it's just big enough for her till she's about 6 months old, then I will have to get a bigger size.
