This is a sheet saver not a mattress protector. It ties to opposite sides (across mattress) of the rails and only covers the area where your baby sleeps. It has worked great for me. It has saved me from washing pooped on crib sheets. It's easy to clean and it is very soft too. I love it.

i ordered it as a part of gift package for my friend's to be born baby.....it was great for the price but the material used is not of high quality.i think it wouldn't survive many washings but ok for the price.
