It performs as expected and the sound is crystal clear. We use it for dad who has had a stroke. He can call us anytime, we can hear him and he can hear us just fine. This is great because he doesn't need to hit a button to talk with us. He can just call out.

This is wonderful for anyone caring for a disabled teen or adult. Mom can talk to us from her bedroom. We can push the 'talk' button on the parent unit in the kitchen and talk back to her to tell her we are coming or get clarification of what she needs.
