This was a gift for a 5yr old girl. Her mother said it was just on her level. A little hard but it was challenging. She did good with it.

Our 5 yr old who is learning to read loves this game. She is able to play (learn) it all by herself. It's a little expensive in my opinion but worth it.

My son got bored w/ it in 5 minutes. Also child must already know how to read to understand it.
