thick and absorbant...non skid but with out all that rubber stuff on the back to come off in the dryer

Washed it one time and could not use it anymore. It was a bit small and the color was more "burgandy-ish" than in the picture on my computer. Very inexpensive, so I really got what I paid for. I recommend getting a different rug although they may cost a little more it would be a smarter purchase.
