Had a slight odor upon opening which was totally gone after washing. Works great. No leaks... I tested it before adding the water jug on top to make sure i put the spout on correctly with washers.

This does not come with a stainless steel spout. I chose this crock because it was advertised to come with a stainless steel spout but it came with a cheap plastic spout.

I don't know whether this croc dispenses well or not. What I can say is that the color of the green stripes is not the rich, deep green depicted in the photos. That color is what I am looking for. ...
