This CD contains 14 rare and never before released tracks from the hey day of bebop, 1947-53.

Allen Eager was one of the first to introduce the melodic vision of Lester Young into the bebop sound of the late 1940s and 1950s.

This collection is a flashback from primarily two locations: The 1953 Boston broadcast from the Hi-Hat (quartet is accompanied by the Dick Twardzik Trio), as well as the "lost" Milton H.

Greene private recordings from 1947 where Eager duels Serge Chaloff and has exchanges with Charlie Parker.

Also features Bud Powell and Max Roach.
