This tray will certainly work for mounting a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay, but don't expect the directions to be helpful. It took me three attempts using the various screw configurations.

I bought 5 of these brackets to mount SSDs in Dell Optiplex 980 SFF PCs which worked perfectly using mounting points 100mm apart. I ordered 4 more brackets and the mounting holes are only 90mm apar...

Bracket does not have much flexibility to attach the ssd in different places. Also, the cable is combined, which can not be used separately for just the data cable.
