This item is easy to use, plug it into an outlet on two ends of the house. When the red light blinks, it is working. You can't hear anything. It has worked well for approx. 2 years when the blinking stopped. Had to get new ones.

I had to find something to keep the roaches that were coming up through the kitchen pipes unto my counter and a couple of these did the trick along with spraying and putting roach traps under the sink. Now I plan to order more to put near each outdoor entry as well in the garage..
