I have thick, curly hair, and these brushes detangle without pulling. I use the pick part of the comb, so my hair isn't a big ball of frizz, and it works pretty well.

I needed a detangler set to help me with tangles in my covid length hair and as usual a great quality Goody product did the job I needed done. The small travel brush will live in one of the cupholders in my car for fast touchups. The large brush and pick/comb will be in my travel/grooming kit.
