The Zebco 888 Reel I have are metal not plastic and didn't look like this one at all. I went to another store (because it wasn't in stock at Walmart) and found 2 and one of them was already defective. The release button was misaligned. So after seeing one in person I won't be getting it.

very very heavy more than an 808 has bascially all the same features as an 808 depending on the time of year the 808 is much cheeper so basically same thing in my opinion just buy wich ever is cheeper and available at the time but read on to the end as I will recommend something to you the 888 do...

if you do not fish for big fish, do not buy this reel.but if you like a spincast,and feel like it does not make you a lesser fisherman then this reel is for you.there are many large spincast reels,shakespeares synergy 400 and ti 20,and catstik, and berkley fusion,southbends proton 40,also r2f cat...
