Viper boresnakes have 50% more brass bristle (3 rather than 2 bristle sections). I used a friend's .30 cal Viper and immediately began replacing all my original Hoppe boresnakes with Viper boresnakes - same manufacturer, just improved product.

This product is great. I have other versions of the "regular" kind of boresnake and like that this has multiple embedded brushes and a seemingly larger surface area. There is a plastic cone over the paracord like piece transition that helps feed it through the gun better.
