We still hit the piñata instead of pulling on the strings, the kids love hitting it so we let them - and it wasn't too cheap so all 8-10 kids were able to get at least 2 goes at it - but it wasn't too strong either because 1 child was able to bust it open. The kids really enjoyed it, as did I
