Seeking an evenly toasted slice of bread, I've tried many toasters and all have failed. They could do it 30 years ago when manufactured in the USA, but now I have to flip the bread manually! B&D may broil perfectly, but it toasts one side correctly and the other is half raw. I'm returning it.

Compact size. Slow to toast. One side much hotter that other side. (make sure your rack is in proper position). Very hard to dial in darkness of toast. Got to keep an eye on toast, otherwise will likely burn toast.
