Some generic items don't work worth a darn. Case in point, Great Value dish soap does not work as well as Dawn. I don't care what the reviews say. However Great Value Automatic Dishwasher Gel works just as well as Cascade for a lower cost.

This works just as well as the colorful, expensive dishwasher pacs. It contains enzymes and works very well even on unrinsed dishes. Get dish sparkling clean with a fraction of the cost of the fancy pacs. Can't recommend more!

Works very well on my dishes, better than powder and I have very hard water where i live.
