I now have 10 Ugly Stiks. A couple are better than 20 years old. I use the med heavy and heavy action for cat fishing and surf fishing. Have hauled in some big fish on them including a few good sized rays. Have not had one give out on me yet. Best rod for the money in my book.

I bought one rod after reading a similar review to the one I am about to write. This rod meets and exceeds rods triple in value. It is so well made and looks great, I bought two more. I am going to also purchase the casting models in the future. -Jason, professional saltwater fisherman.

Great rod for the money. Has good action with enough backbone to handle those bigger flounder and redfish. We fish them 5-7 days a week on our charters and I highly trying them if you haven't already.
