I read all other reviews and don't judge this product with these reviews. Rice has a lot of different varieties so please just don't depend on the manual. I have ate and cooked rice for over 20 years, its not the product that lets you down when you get a bad batch but your skill. Try cooking once...

This rice cooker far exceeded my expectations. I have cooked four kinds of rice. Perfect every time. I have made chili, bean soup, rice pilaf, fried rice and polenta. Easy! I am very pleased, and have purchased another one for our son.

My son uses this at least 5 times a week in his apartment. He cooks rice a lot and loves that he can steam veggies at the same time. Highly recommend!
