This is great to have for different sized colored pencils! The blade is sharp which means it will last a long time! No batteries or electricity needed and it can be safely mounted anywhere. Reasonably priced too!

Gave it 5 stars even though I didn't receive the item pictured. It shows a nice green pencil sharpener but I received the gray version. Aside from that and me being too lazy to return and reorder it in hopes of a green one, I mounted it to the table and had my children try to use it on their own....

Works great like other people have said. As for spilling the shavings, there is a tab/button that releases the main body from the base so you can leave the base clamped onto the table and take the sharpener somewhere else and dump the shavings without any worries.
