As a classroom teacher - this item doesn't take up much space - but plays very well - clear no static.

No problems after a month of constant use. Speakers sound a little "tinny" (not much bass). It operates quietly and plays CD's without skipping. It pulls in FM radio stations amazingly well considering it has one of those thin, flexible wire antennea. Good quality for less than $20.

I like the compact size for my desk at work. I can listen to the radio (AM/FM) or my CDs. I am able to attach a headphone to keep quiet at work. Downside: Antenna is a thin wire and digital display doesn't tell you what radio station you are tuned to.
