This is a cute little lamp,perfect for my kitchen counter. Great value for the money.

It works thankfully, although slighty bent on top, because whoever packed it did it wrong. I was in an empty box with no peanuts, way larger than the lamp, then that box was in a very large box with air pillow. So it was banged around inside the box. Someone needs a packing lesson.

I searched the internet for a simple lamp base for my kitchen counter that was inexpensive, would not take up much room on the counter, and had the on/off switch on the lamp instead of the cord. It is simply and nice looking and does the job. Nobody else matched the price, and Walmart had a 97cen...

I cared more about the lamp shade I bought separately than the base and I was looking for something inexpensive and brown and this $6 lamp base does the job. If you want something to look expensive, don't buy this, but it does what I wanted which is hold up the lamp shade!!
