No format needed out of the box, using it in my galaxy tab4 8inch tablet. Fast speeds moving movies and such from the tablet to the card, about ten mbytes/sec. Works for me. Best price on this sort of thing I've yet found. Comes with adapter. Retail packaging, no worries about fakes.

WORKS AWESOME.. other cards have for some reason would not show and had to format before phone would read again and always loose pictures! THIS CARD HAS NOT MESSED UP AND IS PERFECT!!!
