I actually returned this item. The case is not sturdy, the iPad is wobbly in either position.

Couldn't get the bluetooth keyboard to sync with the ipad, and the keyboard was so "mushy" that I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to make it work. Got another keyboard cover from Apple that works beautifully.
