I HATE Windows 8!, I'm still using XP on my desktop, but I bought the laptop to travel, and just do simple work, so it fits my needs. The mousepad, which I also HATE on laptops, works nicer then I've experienced before, and also allows for tapping, so you don't have to click everything.

Have had this computer for around a month and no problems so far. I use a nook and have also played around on my daughter's computer which has windows 8, so using it was not a problem. I did download the classic shell, which helps quite a bit.

The laptop works beautifully. I'm not quite sure about Windows 8, but it is easy to go to a Windows 7 type screen.
