I found the Hickory Charcoal works the best for me,when smoking meat along with some fruit wood such as apple ,cherry ,peach and some Hickory chips.Makes it over the top.

burns good, lasts, didn't have to use very much hickory wood, to get to the smoke desired. Lasted twice as long as others I have used.

Did chicken thighs and Myron Mixon poultry dry rub on a Weber performer Deluxe yesterday. Awesome results. Used a chimney starter, coals hot and ready in 15mins, used a combination of direct and indirect heat. Chicken on for 20 mins, then flipped em and another 15 mins later ready to eat.incredib...
