IT IS HARD TO FIND UNFINISHED FURNITURE ON THE INTERNET...THIS WAS PERFECT. IT TOOK THE STAIN EVENLY. This little bench is very sturdy. It's made of good, solid wood and has been sanded nice and smooth - ready to be painted or stained. The padded top feels firm and is very comfortable to sit on.
