The door swings both ways and that is really useful for us. It's a surprisingly important feature for our use and it's been a great gate. The open mechanism is easy to use as well.

Very easy to install and love that we don't have to screw anything into the wall. Also I read a few reviews complaining about the gap on the top of the lock. It's not a structure fault, it will close up once it's correctly installed (just keep screwing it tighter) it is noted in the instructions.
