It does everry thing promised, in a very easy to follow plan. The only draw back is that uses ONLY "-R" DVRs and DVRWs. This is set out in the User Guide very clearly, but I can see that many readers would gloss past it, and curse the innocent vendor

This unit was very easy to use. You can even copy multiple VHS tapes to a single hd DVD. I was impressed with the quality of the unit and it would have cost far more to take my tapes to a service to convert.
