As with anything new, you have to reward your dog and introduce the new toy with lots of praise and treats. It does make noise in order to launch the ball so any dog would be weary at first. You must do your part as their leader to show them it's fun and nothing to fear.

This is the best toy ever for a dog that loves to play catch or fetch. Our dog learn to use it in less than two weeks and now plays by himself. The only issue we've had with it is sometimes it misfires snowballing it but there is no risk to the dog.
