Withstands 500 hours in ASTM humidity test and 96 hours in ASTM salt spray test.

This protectant is to answer for not only firearms, but for carbon steel blade pocket knives I collect. Storing ferrous metals inside a safe from year to year, must have a thin coating of this to prevent rust.
