The nob is what allows the seat to swivel so I don't know. I do like being able to remove the seats in bad weather. Does not come with mounti...

Base was as described. Only major drawback is the absence of hardware (bolts & nuts). Swivels nice and locks down well. Seat can be removed with upper section of base still attached to the seat.
