I use the 7 foot boat road for big flathead catfish has very very good backbone and stainless steel eyelets which is perfect for flats and for the price they are perfect...

I bought my first Shakespeare rod in the 1980's...it finally met the end of the road last year. So, I turned to Shakespeare once again for a 10' tidewater. It's lighter than the original and I am looking forward to using it this summer.

Bought a fighting rod with the roller bearings.  Works great.  I use it to king macral fish from a peir in sc.  With a TLD25 on it I think I could land a good size fish.  I like the Shakespeare tidewater product.  Great product fiar price
