Did not realize it was just open on the small end. You can pour powder out the small end but if you put powder in it, it has to go in the small end. The big end you can not open. The plug looking part you cannot open and around the large end there are pins holding it together. Makes a great displ...

This gun powder horn is as real looking as they come. It was used as a prop, to a Daniel Boone costume, but so many people had to check it out for the duration of the time it was worn. Awesome find!
