These matches cannot light accidentally, they must be struck on the included waterproof striker surface on the box.

These are not waterproof. If the box becomes damp, the match may and may not light. Box is small which makes it easy to carry. But also requires small matches, this can allow fingers to be scorched.

The fact that they are labeled as containing chemicals that may cause birth defects in California scares me away. Otherwise they work fine
