Blue shampoo works great with orange or brassy hair. If you have yellowish tones, it may overtone and look a little blueish. It definitely works great if used correctly.

I dye my hair dark brown at home with box dye (oh the horror). After a few weeks it gets a tinge orange/yellow; this cuts it.

Smells nice, but it is very drying. IT DOES what it claims to do. I left it on for 5 minutes it did tone some of the orange out I think if I would have left it on longer it would have taken all the orange out. I would say in the 5 minutes it did 75% of the job.
