I'm Italian and usually make my own sauce, but it's nice to have a jar of Bertolli in the pantry for those rushed meals. It has good, clean, tomato taste, with natural tomato flavor - not sugar. Seasoning is light so I can do my thing with some wine etc.

Until I can master my Aunt Peg's 100% authentic Italian sauce that takes about 2 days to assemble and simmer --I'll buy off the shelf. Much as I love Aunt Peg's sauce and Uncle Bob's too....it's so much easier to find a good retail sauce and 'tweak' it. Finding a good sauce isn't a problem--anymo...

I love the Bertolli Tomato &Basil. It's bursting with flavors. It's full of vegetables and seasoning. Only uses a ingredients. It's not too sweet. The flavor is rich and definitely authentic.
