Installed in April and use about 2 times per week so have some good time using. It is day to use, very clear, down imaging is great and the number of screens (I think 10 or so) is great.

I bought the Elite-5-HDI the week of a major Kayak tournament in Pensacola Fl. It Helped me win 1st place Red Snapper with a 16lb 2oz fish. I had never fished Pensacola before an I would have not been able to win it without the Lowrance - Elite -5 HDI. I would recommended to anyone.

I have only been on one trip so far. I did enjoy the GPS features more than the fish finding which I barely used. We were in Canada fishing mostly shallow water and not looking for fish.

I've had this unit for 3 years. Overall it's not bad, but the user info is terrible. I've had issues with surface clutter along with transducer issues i.e. losing bottom reading and can't rectify no matter how hard I try.
