I installed it in 5 min, it does not come with a cable so had to use my DVD cable, and bought one later. the format on windows 7 should be GPL so it recognize the 4 TB, by default windows only sees 2TB and 1TB

The only problem I had is that there were no mounting screws or cable shipped with the hard drive. Fortunately I had some laying around the house. I suspect it was left out during packaging as the cable is necessary.
