After almost fifty years I broke mine this morning. Probably because it had been left out overnight in the freezing cold and I was jumping on it with my 230 lbs trying to break loose a 1 1/2" union. Been retired for twenty five years but my tools keep finding uses around the farm....

I use my offsets all the time when working with galvanized piping for gas. They are lightweight but sturdy. Well built wrench. Cleaning the teeth is pretty easy to, usually use a wire brush. They work great in tight spots

I use a Ridgid 14"and 18" aluminum offset pipe wrench daily for more than 18 years with no problems whatsoever. I currently have 9 Ridgid pipe wrenches in my tool box that I use on a regular basis .
