Alchemy - Prelude & Groove [COMPACT DISCS]

Alchemy performs yearly at the Horn-Tuba Workshop in Jever, Germany where the group teaches, conducts ensembles, and gives solo performances.

Members Dan Vinson, James Jackson, Gary Buttery, and Joanna Hersey perform with a vibrancy and spirit which sets this group apart.

Inventive programming and a steady supply of new works from composer and founding member Gary Buttery infect their performances with life and brilliancy, what one reviewer described as 'a musical fabric of pure gold.' Alchemy has released two compact disc recordings, Village Dances and presently Prelude and Groove, a collection of works recently written for the group.
