We bought this to supplement a central a/c unit that was bowing out while we saved enough money to replace the central unit. This portable unit far surpassed our expectations. It was easy to set up and it cooled great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It works really well. On a couple of cooler nights I switched it to heat and it did great with that too. I did buy some additional tape and supplies to make the window piece fit like I wanted. With that in the window, I also bought a security bar.
