When I need to know the outdoor temperature, all I need to do is look through the window at the thermometer I attached to the outside of the window (you must choose a place on the north side, so it is out of the sun). You might need to subtract a few degrees in cold weather if the window is heat...

Very pleased. Suction holds good. I mounted it on the outside of a window with the display facing in. I can watch the outside temp from within my house. I compared the temp to a bulb thermometer and it seems very accurate.
