It's does offer shine as it claims and is very good gel. My hair is 4c,4b and it does lay the hair down and without it being stiff. Didn't flake when used my other products. This is my second jar. Consistency firm in jar

Good product. Holds your hair without flaking and the product making your hair hard or turning white. Good moisture for my 4C hair. Thumbs up! Will use this product from now on for my hair.
