Well packaged. Sturdy. Even though I observed its measurements beforehand, I find, however, than it is still a greater fall to the seat than expected. The chair arms are indeed superior for dropping into and pushing out of the chair.

This chair is lightweight yet very sturdy. We bought it so our guys could carry our 92 year old mom up the stairs at the bay house. It was perfect for the job, she felt very secure, and it is a great looking chair as well.
